1st gen cummins tach hook up

Published: 10.08.2018

I am feeling like a tiny tach would be better then my typros. I'm pretty sure the resistor is only there to keep the needle steady. There is 3 wires from the CPS, what did you do with each of those wires?

So on my gauge it puts out 4 quick pulses of 12 volt back to the tach. Forums 4th Generation and up 6. But I still need to figure out what wires are which like 82chevC

Find All Thanked Posts. I am attempting to delete my PCM. Anybody have a picture of the damn thing? Might find strange server error messages and other things happening randomly.

Or does it have to be put directly on sensor wire? I have no idea slow Please enter the name by which you would like to log-in and be known on this site. I'm pretty sure the resistor is only there to keep the needle steady.

Did you connect the tach directly to the cps or did you go thru the pcm? Download files, documents, and Quadzilla Adrenaline tunes for your truck. What type of signal does the cps put out because I put a allison in it and need the signal type to be the same for my tranny to shift right and the type the tranny pcm accepts is square wave zero or non zero crossing 5 volts.

I'm up north in west haven, by Hill AFB. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 3 or greater. You'll have to hook up a after market tach for that.
