I text my mother way more often than I call her, and that doesn't mean I don't love my mom, a lot. In women the same reaction occurs during deep conversation.

I don't want to force a text conversation for the sake of it but if we have good conversations then sure, text me. The problem is for women, its about competition to their female peers. I don't see why text conversations are inherently more boring or generic than conversations in any other medium, you can still say all the same things, it just depends whether it flows naturally for those two people in that medium.
